Lolene Creations

Lolene is the love child of Laura Idema and Colleen Thompson, two easily inspired Nashvillians who love to feel the groove. We love to create original pieces, as well as share our vintage finds and recycle old pieces with new renditions.

We knit, sew, tie dye, mod podge, and love to tug on wires, hence our eclectic inventory :).

Cara Manka

Cara Manka is a Nashville native with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Watkins College of Art&Design. She's done much freelance work for local individuals, boutiques, and bands in the form of wedding invitations, show posters, and logos, but she's now focused on craftier works and specializes in hand bound books and nature photography. Her books range from small, pocket sized paper back journals with pockets, to hard back, perfect bound blank journals in a variety of sizes, to large format, Japanese bound photo albums, custom ordered for weddings. Her inspiration comes from the same things in nature she likes to photograph and tends to follow the theme of organic lines, whimsical colors, trees, flowers, and the like. Her photos are sold in a number of sizes, matted and ready for framing. She will have a variety or work with her at Mike Aid and is always available for custom orders! Kaytea Thompson

Kaytea is an artist and event planner originally from the Shenandoah Valley currently residing in Harrisonburg, VA. Her work is based on observations and experiences from the struggle for a peaceful and natural balance in a chaotic world and aims to bring people together through the universal identity. Her favorite mediums include Mixed Media Painting and Digital Photography. Her goal at Mike Aid is to share the process of mixed media creation in a live multi-inspirational atmosphere.

Quilty Quiltersons

A group of three women (Margaret, Elizabeth, & Marysu) make up the Quilty Quiltersons, all of which have fabric on the brain and enjoy using a variety of fabrics and techniques to create luxurious and practical items from small pouches and handbags, to quilts and shawls. Quality and aesthetic beauty are the key in each item these gals make whether they use printed cottons, batiks, home décor fabric, or throw in some crochet, knit, or bead work. Christine's Treasure Box

Mainly composed of reworked world coins, this “treasure box” is truly unique with each piece having its own sense of style and diversity. The method is cutting edge and developed by Christine, a local from Roanoke, VA.

In addition to the coin jewelry, this box also contains unique, handmade jewelry including pieces featuring semi-precious stones and vintage beads.
